Thanks
Best video for teaching people that I've seen since DADC... Old school college.. thanks for the video
Typical crane inspection nobody uses oil or Grease poor customer the crane is a moving violation
Wow…ok,I do this daily..a lot of the correct measurements needed are either missing (like rear axel scrub angle) or incorrect (caster and camber (both straight and in corners). “Set back” is the the distance the axel sits in relation to where “average” trucks sit and will not effect your alignment. (Pete 379 or 389 is “set forward” freightliner M2 or kenworth t800 so on is “set back”. Further more, checking worn component’s like tie rod/drag link/king pins and spring bushings is important for safety among other things but also note that you CANNOT change your alignment by loosing ubolts due to things like saddles and centring pins. You will be shimming areas like torque, track rods, spring pins and u bars. Camber straight and turning is designed into the axel (can be changed but takes gear) so caster (forward and rear ward tilt looking sideways) and toe will be the only adjustments you will be making in the front. If the axel has any unsquareness to the frame remove your ubolts and check that your centre bolt isn’t sheared because that’s also a problem. I must say, alignment on a big rig by hand is possible, although difficult..this video is just a little off.
Great video this is what I just did today really easy and my clutch is working properly and no vibration is gone ..
Is this a caterpillar, isn't it the same as a caterpillar?
the duct tape is unprofessional
Where can you buy that fork tool??
Thank You
What joke you use torque arm to Adjust thrust.
1 No ANSI tag on control pendant. 2 Dead end of hoist rope appears to be rigged incorrectly judging from the angle it is hanging. It should be hanging straight down, not to the side. 3 Many bends and twists in hoist rope. It should be inspected for damage over entire length. On a grooved drum, the rope can jump a groove if the trolley is moving while hoisting with no load. This trashes the wire rope.. 4 Hook appeared to have witness marks and spread should have been checked with a tape measure. 5 A complete inspection of the trolley and hoist should have been done before a functional test. That means actually climbing up there and looking at it. 6 All columns and connections on the crane rails should be inspected for damage or loose floor and rail bolts. Electrical conductor bars and pickups should be inspected for the entire length of the building. I retired after 20 years as a Washington crane inspector. Send this guy back to crane school.
Middle blue is ABS. Trailers (53)don't have reverse lights
Dude did not say how many gallons the engine takes....
Thank you my friend you are a brave man
D7 3T cat engine 19.60 model for valve gap settings
Always take the key out of the ignition switch . When the adjuster is in line with the inspection hole , make an position identifying mark on the dampener . Always install inspection cover . The Eaton Fuller 15.5” clutch with mechanical linkage is great , much better than the self adjusting Solo with hydraulic control . 7/16/23
This dude cant even read a tape meassure. Yet alone an alignment.
Thank you bro,my 2004 frontier is having that problem,,many blessings,,going to do the same😀😀💯💯💯💯💯
I stopped watching when you said 32 7/16 and you wrote 38 7/16. Then the other side you said 32 10/16. It’s 32 5/8 🙄
Maybe some assembly lube, white grease, to make those stubborn parts snap into place?
👍👍👍
Wow. Guy is a train wreck. Did anyone else ask themselves while he was measuring the forward rear axel thrust angle, what if the front tire is not exactly straight. He was measuring using the front half of the front tire. Which would be different on each side of the truck depending on how the steering wheel was turned. He should have done 2 measurements on the front and back of the front tire. On each side of the truck. After that I quit watching this crap show.
Thanks man for the video, I didn't see injectors on 2 & 5 cylinders, is it part of the valve setti g exercise not to install those injectors? Kindly tell me. Thanks
WAW WAW
Please i need your help If you dont mind.... My cotton picker smokes at low rpm i think grey smoke and in 2000rpm it works fine during the picking ... Is it possible to need Valve adjustment? I think that the diesel pump works good... The noise during low rpm is similar to rattle.... Thanks
The best and the simpliest way to adjust the Valves with your self.....respect and many thanks for sharing your knowledge... Here in Greece mechanics dont tell you anything and try to make the job when you are not present.....😂Thats very bad and they are so small minded pure People
Are you a yachtie by any chance? I agree about the Greeks, they can't see very far.
@@GreatOutDoorWorldofMines why are you asking? I have never been in a yacht....!
I have a cylinder similar to this one and it’s leaking from that little space at the top of the Ram Rod, can that be taken apart?
when done correctly this method is as good as the 100k machine
I was always under the impression that you don't want to over grease the throw-out bearing because you don't want the clutch brake covered in grease? Might just be me but any friction brake doesn't seem to work well when covered in grease or oil.
You would think so but that is not the case. You have to realize that clutch does not stop the transmission from turning it holds it after it has stopped. The old double clutch or float shifting...is perfect example either one does not matter its the same thing. Actually if you think about it... how can the clutch stop the trans when in motion. The driveline is still hooked up and the gear box is turning when in motion. If you push hard on the pedal to engage the clutch brake while moving the clutch brake will explode...literally, without the grease on one side. it works like clutches in a motorcycle it needs lube to work. Plus, all gears are moving in a transmission whether engage or not...centrifugal force will already have gears in motion. Clutch brake only has to work at one time, tractor stopped and engaging the transmission into a selected gear. Other wise your basically floating the gears. Double clutch is an old school way of shifting non pneumatic transmissions that were not synchronized ..like a 2 stick or a 3 stick.
👍👍
I have a 235ci chevy engine that has a blown head gasket.... is it possible to pull the head and replace the gasket without pulling apart all the rockers and springs from the head. I know this question is a little off the purpose of your video but I'm guessing you would know.
please explain camber adjustment
Very informative
interesting you did not show how you put the steer ahead to check if the steer is straight with the frame
He didn't check the front axle if it was square in the truck..... Piss poor mechanic
What is the firing order for C6.6 engine And how much I should set tappet in nm or kgs
Where can we find the shop address?
Do you have a part number for the fork gauge?
Does it post to have that spacer behind the bearing I pulled one out this weekend and it did not have the spacer in it does it post to have the spacer in it or do I need to get a spacer and put it in before I put the bearing back in
You need to put spacer
What if the truck was jackknifed and the frame is off?
Yeah. That is way beyond the scope of the video. I would use a machine to get at least one set of measurements (rear axel). Send the truck to the manufacturer, it will be less expensive in the long run.
Sir this gear name ?
The name of the gear? rotor pump? Don't understand the question.
Really interesting because I run a cnc machine that machines the oil pump gears you wouldn't belive the amount of issues with have with them running them
Very useful lessons, but background sounds disturbed it!!!
Sorry for that
what brand is that torque wrench ??? I need one to adjust my valves!
Napa. Carlyle.
Real alignment only works taking the wheels off and going to the spindles with everything level....
2seconds into the Video, Safety Violation, No hardhat
hahaha
You will laugh until something comes out of the sky and caves your head in.
Too much noise in the background. Love ur teaching. Do it again.
Thank you, think I will. Or at least try to filter the audio
We didn’t learn nothing!! Do you know why? Because it was a demo and you said it yourself!!!!!!!!
